Painting of the 8 Auspicious Symbols to welcome H.H. Dalai Lama
According to the Tibetan Buddhist Tradition, Eight Auspicious Symbols are made on the ground in front of the temple to welcome a hghly respected lama. I was asked to design and co-ordinate this project. The design was a lotus flower with in each petal one of the symbols. The painting was made on June 3rd by a group of 6 people, and we were working all day on it.
The next day, thousands of people would come to the teachings and see the 5 meter (200 inches) painting. ...Many of them spontaniously put roses around it!
